Termination letter template:
Dear (employee/staff name),
I hope this email finds you well.
I regret to tell you that you will no longer be employed with [company name] as of [termination date]. Because of [insert reason for termination], we believe this is the wisest decision. [This is the last stage in our disciplinary process/ a decision we took following the completion of your Performance Improvement Plan, which began on _date.]
You will no longer be entitled for any salary or benefits related to your position after [termination date]. Please return [company property that needs to be returned] to the Human Resources office by [date].
You’re entitled to your working wage until [termination date], plus we’ll pay you for any remaining vacation days. We’ll also pay you a severance package worth [amount]. [You’ll get a separate letter from us with all of the facts about the compensation or other information you’re entitled to.]
Remember that you signed a non-compete, non-solicitation, and non-disclosure agreement. You must immediately erase any information on our customers, workers, or other stakeholders that you have on paper or on your personal devices.
If you have any concerns or need explanations, I’m available for up to [six] working days after your last employment day.
