# Email Delivery & Notification Problems
## Emails Not Being Received
### Check Spam/Junk Folders
The most common issue — candidate emails may land in spam. Ask candidates to check their spam folder and whitelist your sending address.
### Verify Email Address
Ensure the candidate's email address is correct and doesn't have typos. Check the candidate profile for the exact address used.
### Delivery Status
Check the email delivery status in the candidate's communication tab:
- **Sent** — email was sent from HireBee.
- **Delivered** — confirmed receipt by the email server.
- **Bounced** — email address is invalid or mailbox is full.
- **Failed** — delivery failed for a technical reason.
### Bounce Handling
If an email bounces:
- HireBee marks the delivery as "bounced".
- Verify the candidate's email address is correct.
- If it's a temporary bounce (full mailbox), try again later.
## Notifications Not Working
### In-App Notifications
- Check that notifications are enabled in your profile settings.
- Make sure you haven't muted notifications for the specific event type.
- Try refreshing the page or logging out and back in.
### Email Notifications
- Verify your email address in your profile settings.
- Check if email notifications are enabled for your notification preferences.
- Some notifications respect "quiet hours" if configured.
### Telegram Notifications
- Ensure your Telegram bot is properly connected.
- Send `/start` to the bot again to re-register.
- Check Settings → Integrations → Telegram for connection status.
## Custom Email Domain
If using a custom sender domain:
- Verify that DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) are properly configured.
- Custom domain setup can take up to 48 hours to propagate.
- Test by sending a test email from Settings → Email.
