# Telegram Bot Setup ## Overview Connect a Telegram bot to receive real-time notifications about new applications, stage changes, and other hiring events directly in Telegram. ## Setup ### 1. Create a Telegram Bot 1. Open Telegram and search for **@BotFather**. 2. Send `/newbot` and follow the prompts to create a bot. 3. Copy the **bot token** provided by BotFather. ### 2. Configure in HireBee 1. Go to **Settings → Integrations → Telegram**. 2. Paste your bot token. 3. Save — HireBee registers a webhook with Telegram. ### 3. Connect Your Chat 1. Open your bot in Telegram and send `/start`. 2. The bot responds with a verification message. 3. Your Telegram chat is now linked to your HireBee account. ## Notifications The Telegram bot sends notifications for: - **New applications** — candidate name, job title, AI score. - **Stage changes** — when candidates move in the pipeline. - **Interview reminders** — upcoming interview alerts. - **Offers** — when offers are sent, viewed, or responded to. ## Commands - `/start` — connect your account. - `/status` — view your active jobs summary. - `/help` — list available commands. ## Security - Bot tokens are stored encrypted. - Only authenticated team members can link their Telegram accounts. - You can disconnect at any time from Settings.
